Our trip to Catalina Island organized by Punta Cana hero was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we began planning, Heike was incredibly helpful and ensured every detail was perfect. Her passion for creating memorable experiences shone through, and it set the tone for the entire journey. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by our tour operator, Dana. She was fantastic, always available to assist us with a smile. Her dedication and attentiveness made us feel truly cared for throughout the trip. Our journey was helmed by Captain Cesarito, a delightful individual who navigated the waters with ease and charm. His friendly demeanor and knowledge of the area enriched our experience, and we always felt safe and entertained. The highlight of our day was undoubtedly the lunch with a breathtaking sea view. The food was delicious, and the serene ambiance made it a meal to remember. We enjoyed fresh, local dishes while gazing at the crystal-clear waters, creating a perfect moment of tranquility. Our family of four had a great time on our private Saona Island trip. The boat was clean and comfortable and the captain was very nice. The scenery and lunch on the island were amazing as well.
As an avid boater, this was truly a top notch experience. Not only was the boat perfect (28ft Contender) but Captain Ricky and his mate were phenomenal. We started with a nice cruise to the natural pool area which was breathtakingly beautiful. Clear waters and starfish! We then headed to Saona island for lunch with time to shop at the local shop, relax in the hammocks and enjoy some time in the water. Finally, we closed out our trip with snorkeling in Bayahibe where the fish were plentiful. Just a perfect day. Thank you to the captain and staff that helped coordinate our transportation which was also great. This is perfect for anyone who appreciates a private, tailored experience.
I don’t know how much the boat tours cost with 30+ people on board, but this is worth whatever the $$ difference is. Heike was great with communication and always responded almost immediately. We added on transportation from our hotel, and the driver was nice and showed up early. Ricky and the other guy on our boat were entertaining and super helpful. Saona Island was beautiful but getting our food took forever (nothing to do with Punta Cana Hero, just how the restaurant on the island goes). We had our own private table away from the big boat crowds and were able to do things kind of on our own schedule. Again, well worth the money for a smaller tour company vs the big ones.
